Color copied & folded photo zine on 90lb/163 gsm index card stock.
Size: 5.5"H x 3.5"W x 0.125”H.
8 pages total, including front and back cover.
Open edition, 2025.
This photo zine features a selection of collaged test prints and typewritten words. Test prints are meant to show how different exposure times look for a certain image, thus gradations from light to dark can be seen on many of the images in the zine. As with anything, much time and effort goes in to this testing phase before the final image emerges. This zine is a nod and an ode to the process of creating handmade darkroom prints, which - as any darkroom artist knows - ALWAYS starts with test prints… many, many test prints. This is a “toned” version of the original B&W zine, so the whites has a slight tea-toned tint to it.
Please note: This zine is folded from one piece of color copied paper. The folded construction means that the side opposite the spine of the folded book doesn’t quite line up exactly, it’s a quirk of this specific folded construction. :)
The original B&W version is also available.
