Texas Vignette Art Fair 2026, curated by Alison de Lima Greene - Sept 30 to Oct 3
I’m excited to announce that three of my photographs have been selected by MFAH’s very own Alison de Lima Greene for inclusion in the 2026 edition of the Texas Vignette Art Fair!
Alison is the Isabel Brown Wilson Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where she has served on the curatorial staff since 1984.
We are very lucky to have the Texas Vignette here in the Lone Star State. It is a non-profit founded by Jessica Ingle in 2017, with a model for running an art fair that is unlike any other fair before. The fair provides Texas women artists a wonderful opportunity, platform, and occasion to not only show their works, but also connect with each other and the broader Texas art community.
The annual fair is currently in its 9th iteration and it turns the conventional model of art fairs as we know it on its head. Rather than having many booths with different exhibitors, the fair deals directly with the artists themselves and is completely submission-based. The call is open to all female-identifying artists in the state of Texas. Each year a guest curator is invited to select artists and works for that year’s fair. The curator provides a sense of cohesion for works in the fair and advises on layout of the fair. 100% of the sale proceeds go to the artists, something that very, very rarely happens in the greater art ecosystem. It certainly is a worthwhile endeavor and quite a revolutionary concept. Thus, I’m incredibly grateful and honored to have been selected by Greene for this year’s exhibition and am truly humbled to be showing alongside such a talented group of artists.
There are four days of associated fair activities, detailed below. I’ll be heading up to Dallas for the preview benefit and volunteering at the fair for a stint during the weekend.
