The Woodlands High School Art Trust 2026 - Let the Voting Commence 📸🎞🎨!

I’m happy to share that one of my photographs has been selected by the Woodlands High School Art Trust as one of twelve nominees to be considered for purchase this year! :)

I’ve blogged about the Trust before, but here’s a quick summary. The funds to purchase the artworks are raised by the students themselves through their Homecoming Dance. The students get to choose which artworks are ultimately purchased by voting on the nominees over a three-day voting period in November. TWHSAT will purchase as many artworks as its available funds allow - $3,500 this year.

I love that the students get to explore and gain an appreciation for different styles of art and are given a voice in shaping their own school environment, while supporting local artists at the same time. There is no submission fee, and 100% of the proceeds from the purchases go to the artists.

There will also be a reception for the artists, and it is free and open to the public: 🎈

• November 6, 2026 | 1:30-3 PM

• 6101 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands

• For more information on parking and other details, contact TWHSAT at twhsat@gmail.com.

I look forward to chatting with the students and faculty about my artwork at the reception and meeting fellow artists!

And now, presenting the nominated candidate 📸✨…
