2025 Artadia Houston: a free open call offering three $15K awards to Houston-based artists

Just sharing a free call available for fellow Houston area artists. Three unrestricted funds of $15,000 will be awarded. This opportunity was generously shared with me by Tanja Peterson of Redbud Arts Center. Her email contents below:

“Attention Houston-based artists!

Artadia is now accepting applications for the 2025 Houston Awards through November 1st, 2025, at 11:59pm CT. 

Offering three Awards of $15,000 in unrestricted funds, the application is open to visual artists who have been living and working within Harris County for at least two consecutive years. Individual artists and collaboratives working in all visual media and at any stage in their career are strongly encouraged to apply. The application is free, has no project outline requirements, and is very simple.

Artadia Awardees are selected through a two-tier jury process that combines local expertise with outside perspective from leading curators. A jury panel will evaluate all online submissions and select six Finalists in mid-November. The jurors will then conduct virtual studio visits with each Finalist, gaining a broader context for the artists’ work.
