2025 Annual Glassell Art Sale - Dec 12-14

Promotional vid for sale by @yellomai - two of my photos are in it :)

It’s almost THAT time of the year again, when Glassell opens it doors to the public for three days of pure art extravaganza - behold the annual Art Sale!! If you happen to be in the Houston area around this time, it would definitely be worth your time to drop in and peruse literally piles and piles of original, hand-made art work: prints, photographs, paintings, watercolor, drawings, ceramics, sculptures, jewelry, you name it, we probably have it. It’d be the perfect opportunity to pick up gifts for friends, family, and yourself :). The Thursday early-access shopping tickets are already sold out (as it usually does each year, very quickly). But the sale proper is FREE and open to the general public (pro tip - come early to get the best selections):

When:

Fri 12/12 11-8pm

Sat 12/13 10-5pm

Sun 12/14 11-5pm

Where:

Glassell School of Art

5101 Montrose Blvd, Houston, TX 77006

Many of the piece available in my online shop and portfolios will be available at the sale, including a few newer pieces that I’ve not had the time to post in the shop yet ;). Many of my fellow artists who had works in the photo and print New Magnolia Brewery show will also be selling their works in this sale.

Proceeds from the sale benefit both the artists and the Glassell scholarship program. A win-win that supports both current artists and creates opportunities for future ones!

Beautiful Mess‍ ‍(darkroom chromogenic print) - featured in the video, will be available at the sale.

Blue sky with leave on left and bottom

Splendor Awaits (darkroom chromogenic print) - featured in the video, will be available at the sale.

Eternal Sunshine (screen print) will be available at the sale.

This year’s set up is different than before. Prints, photos, works on paper, jewelry, and fiber arts are located on the 2nd floor. And paintings, ceramics, and sculptures are on the 1st floor. I didn’t manage to get any photos of the sale until I went in to volunteer on the first day, so these photos are mostly of the sale in progress Friday morning.

Prints and works on papers in the 2nd floor gallery during the sale.

Photography - outside the 2nd floor gallery at the top of the stairs during the sale.

2nd floor check out line!

Paintings on the 1st floor during the sale.

More paintings on the 1st floor during the sale.

Ceramics & sculpture area on the 1st floor, early Friday morning.

Jewelry room on the 2nd floor, early Friday morning.

Fiber arts also in the 2nd floor jewelry room, early Friday morning.

You get the idea, lots and lots of gorgeous arts for sale, come take a look!
